The Killer Heat analysis was a key piece of research released by the

Union of Concerned Scientists in the summer of 2019. Among the signature visual

products were a data visualization which was widely circulated among such

news outlets as the L.A. Times, a high-concept video outlining the future of extreme

heat, and an interactive mapping tool where users can find local predictions

for extreme heat in their area at the zip code level.
